DREAMS

Now I know everybody says they have goals,

The question is, is it backed up by a dream?

Dreams are the things that motivate the soul,

Without it one will be waking up in screams.

It is not my place to enforce the dream,

Mine is just to say that dreams can take you further upstream,

But who is it who dreams,

Who is it that sweats,

Who is it that conspires?

And who is inspired?

The possibility is countless,

Many have tried to fulfil in one lifetime,

The whole thing may be meaningless,

For some like the status prime,

A level in which they say they are comfortable,

Yet there is audacity to complain,

A level where they say there is stability,

Yet there are no constructive reasons to explain,

No further ability, now that’s a nightmare,

Reason you sweating from all the hopelessness,

Born for a purpose but no will to pursue because of fear,

Good thing there is always hope but first one has to confess,

If there were no dreams, why wake up?

It’s because there are no dreams, that’s why you kick off,

Why are you angry do you even know?

It’s all good though because even the ignorant and the stupid can dream too,

This may be the evidence of the importance of it all,

First there has to be attitude,

That’s what the amplitude depends on so you don’t fall,

It may come in a misty form to keep you going,

Or it may be a symbol either way there is no slowing,

The joy of waking up,

A victory cup,

One you can get at your own pace,

Not saying that you may not fall but shake off disgrace,

Dust your shoulders and smile,

Don’t forget there is love from above,

Don’t forget it piles,

Remember the freedom of the dove,

For to someone who is oppressed a dream sets them free,

To someone who sees injustice a dream initiates their plea,

Many greats I could mention,

Many that would question your apprehensions,

I’m not saying you won’t fall,

All I’m saying is that with a dream, you will always stand tall.
